Son Seekers Day Camp

Son Seekers opens each summer to impact area children as a low-cost 6-week day camp gearing them to aim high and reach higher. It's packed with new experiences, loads of fun, field trips, embedded learning, a mini-economy that boosts math skills while encouraging positive behavior, music, meals, and laughter. Older teens participate as volunteer junior counselors and get in on not only the fun, but crucial job skills development, as well. It all culminates in an evening celebration where parents, volunteers, donors, neighbors, staff and campers reveal accomplishments and summer endeavors.

can you see yourself on our team...

No one has all the answers. It takes people working together to create, maintain, and keep vital the activities that address a recognized need. It takes a team with a common vision to bring about change, to assess, to mesh available passions, assets, and goals. And it’s not just program staff that impact our neighbor's lives–YOU can, in many ways:

  • Volunteer--homework assistant, share a hobby, make copies, phone, chaperone...
  • Concerned neighbor/parent--mentor, advocate, teach parenting or budget skills...
  • Donor--time, talents, snacks, school supplies, financial assistance, grant writing...
  • Board member--the team focusing the vision and ensuring pieces are in place...

And the best thing about new people getting involved? Fresh ideas and perspectives that further build on our strong foundation! Let us hear from you today; call or use the email form on the Reach Us page.

How can we, together, better work toward a more livable and just community?
